One
of the reasons The
Salvation Army is able to do what it does is that it is supported by
the generosity and
kindness of its many
friends. Here are some of the ways you can help:
Become
a volunteer. Volunteers register with our 31 Mackey
Street
office, and give invaluable support to the Army’s varied social
and community service programs by participating once or twice a week at
our School for The Blind, Thrift Store or Feeding Center.
In-Kind
Donations. Businesses and individuals provide a
considerable
amount of the support that is needed to keep our feeding and other
programs going throughout the whole year. Donations of food
items, clothing (new and used), books, furniture or anything else that
someone else can use, are warmly welcomed!
Service
Donations. In addition to donation of material items, we
also
welcome the contribution of service providers, both companies and
individuals who can donate their services or expertise.
Financial
Donations. Your financial contributions of any
amount are
always needed to help us continue meeting the needs of individuals and
families in our communities. Please call, visit or email us if we can provide you with more
information.
The Salvation Army in The Bahamas remains
committed to its mission of
sharing the love of God and meeting human needs in his name without
discrimination.
